The mission is to end the misery and gain freedom for overly sentenced nonviolent victims of various versions of so-called justice.
Most believe America represents the model for human rights. At the same time, they are unaware that more than 3000 people are currently serving life sentences for nonviolent crimes without the possibility of parole (LWOP), a living death. In Louisiana alone, 26 LWOPs were first time offenders.
Often the crimes involved for a LWOP sentence were minor offenses with mental illness, drug addiction or financial desperation as the root cause. The failed war on drugs and 3-strikes sentencing laws which do not adequately differentiate nonviolent offenses are mainly responisble for this deplorable inhumanity.
Most inmates have little means to purchase common supplies from the profit-making commissaries. Very few can afford a lawyer.
Read their unbelievable stories and do whatever you can to support them NOW, directly and individually.
Harsh Justice in America is pleased to announce that 12 of our inmates have gained their freedom since 2016, 11 were serving life without parole sentences.
No Harsh Justice inmate has been convicted of a violent crime
